Polygenic risk scores to predict treatment-response in highly treatment-resistant depressed individuals

We have collected genetic data from 200 people who were admitted to a specialist multidisciplinary inpatient ward for intensive psychological, pharmacological and occupational treatment, and gathered information on both their short-term and long-term response to treatment in this program.

We will be applying modern, statistically powerful analytical techniques to investigate whether a higher overall genetic risk for either depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia is associated with treatment outcome in these inpatient participants.
